The world is a dangerous place and it’s not going to get better any time soon. From violent crime drastically escalating in Chicago as well as in other US cities, to the rise of international and domestic terrorism, it is up to you to acquire the skills needed to protect yourself and your family. When faced with someone who wants to seriously hurt or kill you, fighting by a set of rules that has been ingrained since childhood will get you killed.  Our goal is NOT to turn you into a cage fighter, sport fighter or help you earn a new pretty belt. Our goal is to teach you how to survive a violent attack, and go home to your family. We ingrain the fact that running from a fight is by far the best option, safest and cheapest way to win a fight. But should escape not be an option, we teach you the skills needed to stop an attacker who is trying to kill you. We are not an easy gym. Our training can be aggressive because we prepare you for the chaos and uncertainties of a real violent attack, not Hollywood’s version of one. We spar, grapple and we do resist technique when we train as would a criminal on the streets. All training is hands on with other students (no kata). We don’t do rank, uniforms or belts. The more a student trains the more proficient the student becomes. Our system is a well faceted combative system integrating striking, grappling as well as a combative mindset, a mindset which focuses on awareness and doing what it takes to win and go home. Our system emphasizes a simple ideology;  ‘ATTACK YOUR ATTACKER !’ Basically, when attacked, if escape is not possible, you must immediately, without hesitation, prejudice or remorse, attack your attacker with unrelenting furiousness, targeting their vital organs; their nervous system and their physical structure until your attacker no longer has the ability nor the will to keep fighting. Students learn that real violence is far from the glamors that Hollywood paints in it’s movies and that they must immediately act against spontaneous attacks, be ready for anything at any time, criminals are never alone, criminals love to use weapons and that criminals do not fight with rules, respect or with honor. Students train outside their comfort zones as they learn principles as well as the mechanics that make the techniques work. We teach students that running and avoiding the fight is the best option but should events escalate and a higher level of force is warranted or you simply cannot run because of an injury or those with you  can not run, we teach how to immediately stop the attacker and to assess the area for other attackers as the initial attacker may not be alone. We teach: Ripping, Striking, Grappling, Gouging, Cranking, Smashing, Biting and what ever else it takes to stop the bad guy from killing us. We don’t teach techniques, we teach principles and mechanics that are simple to learn, easy to apply under pressure and are very effective.  Instead of’ teaching 1000’s of techniques, we focus mostly on about 30-40 principles that can be used during multiple situations.
